iOS 27 Broke These Trading Apps — And Fixed Others

iOS 27's September 14 launch was a stress test for finance apps:

What broke: the UIKit scene-lifecycle change hit apps hard-coded for full-screen-only mode. Several chart-heavy apps shipped display bugs on iPad multitasking, and a handful of watchlist apps lost widget functionality until their 27.0.x patches.

What worked: apps on newer stacks (Expo SDK 57/58, modern UIKit) sailed through — including Stock Picks, which was day-one ready.

What got better: the rebuilt Siri + App Intents means trading apps can finally do "Hey Siri, how's my watchlist" natively. Apps shipping App Intents now are early to a real feature.

For users: check when your trading app last updated. Anything untouched since before September is a red flag.
